10 Great Holiday Photo Gift Ideas

Believe it or not, the holiday season is upon us!  When looking for the perfect gift for someone, it can often be difficult to choose. “What if they already have this” or “What if this won’t fit them” are some common questions you’ve probably asked yourself when trying to choose a gift. And, let’s face it, with malls popping up everywhere and Amazon a click away, people can buy impersonal items when they want or need them!

Want to take the stress out of guessing and give something that will last longer than any gizmo or gadget? Want to show your loved one how much you appreciate them?  If so, it’s time to get sentimental with personalized presents from your BSP Session or from pictures you’ve taken yourself that bring back memories of special times. This is a sure-fire way to give a unique gift that has a personal touch!

It’s so easy to log onto the internet and order all the gifts at once from my favorite gift giving site http://www.mpix.com. I highly recommend it and have some great ideas as to what you can give this year.

Check out these ideas:

  1. Coffee Table Book

Fall for Fall Fashion

Fall is FINALLY here.  It took some time for Cincinnati to get the news that summer was over!  And while temperatures are still getting in the 60’s, the trees have changed colors and pumpkin everything is in the air!

And, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I LOVE hot weather.  The hotter, the better.  But, I live in the Midwest so fall is a thing and I do embrace Fall Fashion!  Boots, leggings, sweaters and scarves… yes, please!! Leggings and boots are my go to staple for the season.  Pair that with a great top, sweater and scarf and I’m ready!

No matter what time of the year, layers are always a great idea for photo shoots and just for life!  I always tell seniors to bring a jacket, scarf or sweater because adding those items in makes it look like you have on a completely different outfit.  Apply that to life and by adding that one item you can go from day to night, casual to dressy, etc.  And, when it’s cold out, you’ll look fabulous while staying warm at the same time!

Now, let’s talk color.  We’ve spent all summer being colorful.  Now it’s nature’s turn to shine while you enjoy  neutrals that look and feel comfy and cozy.

So, grab your cup of pumpkin spiced whatever and head out to embrace fall fashion.

Shelby | Cincinnati Senior Photographer

Shelby wanted a “taste of Cincinnati” and that’s just what she got!  Stefani, Shelby, her mom and I bopped around OTR until the sun went down.  We hit all of the hot spots and found some hidden gems too.  Speaking of gems, doesn’t Shelby just shine in these images?

Delaney | Cincinnati Senior Photographer

When Delaney’s mom invited me out to view their property prior to the session, I was wowed (to say the least).  Then, when the sun was out and Delaney was primped and pampered, it all came together flawlessly!  I could shoot ALL of my sessions there!  It was a slice of heaven and Delaney is the perfect angel to share it with!

Erin | Cincinnati Senior Photographer

Erin’s passion for music took center stage for the first part of her session.  I love this backdrop of music sheets.  It took us 10 minutes to put them up and one minute to get the shot.  I’d say TOTALLY WORTH IT!  Then it was on to paradise to catch Erin just being a senior.  Lovely!

Sydney | Cincinnati Senior Photographer

Sydney has a boho style and eyes to die for!  I worked with her brother, Tyler, last year and the whole family too.  It was nice having one-on-one time with Sydney for her senior session.  I also happen to love her mom who came with us so it turned out to be a fun girl’s day out!

Hannah | Cincinnati Senior Photographer

Another sibling referral session!  I love when people start with me with their oldest child because then we can get a somewhat cohesive throughout the images even though they may be years apart.  Hannah’s sister, Isabella, was one of the first senior clients I shot!  Then her brother, Max, came along.  Hannah kind of knew what to expect and, after five minutes together, we were having a BLAST!  She is one of the most honest, true-to-herself girls I’ve met!  And funny as they come!  It was a pleasure, G family!

Laura | Cincinnati Senior Photographer

I shot Laura’s sister years ago, her brother a few years back and I thought I wasn’t going to get to shoot Laura’s.  She was living abroad with her parents but, as fate would have it, they moved back JUST in time for her senior pics!  So, I’d say it is the perfect trifecta.  She and her siblings were amazing to work with.  Great manners, super confident and looks to kill!  Laura’s session was one of my most fun!
